Join us for an evening of enchanting storytelling full of magic, puppetry, and music, as we enter into the fantastical world of the Brothers Grimm – with altered endings and modern twist. Pack the picnic basket, dress for the weather, and don’t forget to bring something to sit on, as Heartbreak Productions invites you to Wonder With Grimm at the American Museum & Gardens.

It’s Grimm Night and the forest spirits are wandering abroad. Never heard of the Grimm? It used to live in the Black Forest, but now travels through forests across the UK looking for children’s voices to steal. To prevent this spectre from taking our voices we must tell it stories, so we gather together to re-tell the stories from whence it took its name – the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.

Picnic Hampers

Order a delicious picnic hamper to savour while you enjoy Heartbreak Productions’ Wonder With Grimm. There are three hamper options to choose from which can be easily added to your order when purchasing tickets. Sales end at 5pm on 19th July so order now while stocks last!

*Each hamper is a portion for 1 person at a cost of £27 per person, or £5 per child. The hamper pictured is a portion for four people – probably a bit too filling for just one! 

Chicken & Tarragon Hamper £27.00

Cold chicken with cream and tarragon sauce. Home baked ham/chorizo. Mixed green salad. Cold new potatoes. Waldorf salad. Coleslaw. Assorted bread. Strawberries / clotted cream. Chocolate pot. Coconut biscuit. Bottle water. Soft drink. 

Lentil Salad Hamper £27.00

Lentil, pepper, mint and feta salad. Roasted aubergine/veg. Mixed green salad. Cold new potatoes. Coleslaw. Locally produced cheeses. Assorted bread. Strawberries / clotted cream. Chocolate pot. Coconut biscuit. Bottle water. Soft drink. 

Kid’s Hamper £5.00 

½ Sandwich. Packet of pom bears. Fruit. Small cookie. Carton of drink.

Things you need to know… 

Access to the grounds will be available from 5:30pm when doors open.

The performance begins at 6:30pm.

Food and beverage options will be available for purchase and you are welcome to bring your own picnics.

Picnic Hampers – ordering online is essential. We have 50 hampers available. Orders close at 5pm on 19th July 2021.

Please note that tickets to the event only give access to the theatre performance as the Museum and Gardens will be closed at 5pm. You are welcome to visit the Museum and Gardens prior to their closure at 5pm, but please note this would require a separate ticket and all guests will need to exit before 5pm and access to the grounds for the theatre performance will not open until 5:30pm.
