Relaxation and Wellbeing Group for First-Time Mums

Are you feeling overwhelmed as a mum?

Maybe you find yourself feeling anxious about your baby’s health or development, putting pressure on yourself to make all the “right” parenting choices, or feeling like you’re losing yourself.

Add to this a general sense of exhaustion and the million things you have to think about everyday, and it makes sense that you feel this way.

I'm Kirsti, a wellbeing psychologist and mum. I'm passionate about helping new mums prone to perfectionism to put less pressure on themselves and trust they’re doing enough.
Join us each week in Bath and learn evidence-based coping techniques to feel less overwhelmed, more relaxed, and more confident in yourself as a parent.

Week 1 - Finding peace amidst the chaosWeek

2 - Retaining a sense of selfWeek

3 - Being confident in your choicesWeek

4 - Letting go of guilt and worryWeek

5 - Going with the flowWeek

6 - Making motherhood joyful

Each session is 45 minutes and includes a relaxation exercise you can repeat at home, a short journaling prompt, and a simple-but-useful wellbeing tip based in Positive Psychology.
You'll receive a typed overview of our main focus topic with tips for applying it. This also makes it easy to repeat anything baby doesn't let you participate in during the session, at home.
I look forward to meeting you.

Note:*Babies under a year old welcome (please bring some toys). There is time built in for babies being babies, so please don't worry if they cry or disrupt things. We've all been there.*Please bring a journal and a pen.*There is never any pressure to contribute, and many people prefer to just listen.*There is 90 minutes free parking at Sainsbury's nearby be sure to turn up a little early as it can get full.
