Lunar New Year Planetarium Show!
Take a trip into space this lunar new year, with a specially created family planetarium show at Bath Assembly Rooms. Find out why the Moon plays such an important part in the Chinese New Year, listen to stories about Dragon constellations from around the world, and discover what stars and planets you can see in the sky tonight.
The Planetarium Shows are being held as part of the Lunar New Year celebration, organised by the Museum of East Asian Art in collaboration with Bath Assembly Rooms and with the support of the Herschel Museum.
The show will last approximately 30 minutes, but please allow 45 minutes.
Suitable for ages 5+
Free entry: booking essential - Click here to book!
Important booking information - Pre booking for ALL members of your group, both adults and children, is essential, there is limited space inside the planetarium, so please include all adults and children that will be attending when you book.
If you cannot make your booking please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to other visitors. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all time. Regretfully, the planetarium is not wheelchair accessible, but the Assembly Rooms are, so all accompanying activities will be fully wheelchair accessible. As this show takes place in our inflatable planetarium, visitors will be required to sit on the floor. We may ask you to remove your shoes prior to entering the planetarium if weather conditions warrant it.
