Autism Friendly screenings are adapted in a variety of ways to help reduce anxiety and overstimulation and ensure a safe, enjoyable cinema experience for people with autism, and their families, friends and carers.
Adjustments include:
- no trailers or advertisements
- lights left on low throughout the film
- reduced volume
- freedom to move around, make noise and sit where you like
you are welcome to take a break and leave the screen whenever you need to
- tickets are charged at a reduced rate, starting from £3.30 per person
- a relaxed and welcoming environment where staff are sensitive to the needs of children and families with autism.Eleven-year-old Riley moves to San Francisco, leaving behind her life in Minnesota.
