The American Museum & Gardens is running a family-friendly May half term programme from 23–31 May 2026, focused on outdoor play, creativity, and relaxed activities for children and families.
Highlights include:
Craft & Build sessions with hands-on creative activities and large building blocks
The “America 250” interactive family trail featuring Charlie Chipmunk
The colourful Kith & Kin: The Quilts of Gee’s Bend exhibition with children’s activities
Woodland walks and garden exploration
A children’s play area with climbing and slides
Open gardens with spring flowers and countryside views across the valley
A special “Pay What You Can Day” takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, 25 May, where visitors donate what they can instead of paying standard admission prices.
The event runs daily from 10am–5pm and includes free parking.
