Next dates

Sorry, there are no future dates available

The Myths and Monsters Exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery is on till 27th February.

Myths and Monsters will once again link the worlds of literature, art and myth with some of the very best (and worst) you could expect to meet.

Star contributors include:

  • Axel Scheffler – The Gruffalo and other Julia Donaldson books
  • Michael Foreman – War Boy, Stubby and The Littlest Dinosaur
  • Cressida Cowell – How to Train Your Dragon
  • Victoria Topping - Mythologica: An encyclopedia of gods, monsters and mortals from ancient Greece
  • Chris Mould – The Iron Man

Look out, monsters have escaped into the city! In addition to the exhibition, you’re invited to search for monsters as part of our free immersive trail around Bath. Check out the video below for the clues of where to go, and for a taste of what’s in store.

Keep your eyes peeled in town for some of the best (and worst!) you could expect to meet. The monsters will be hiding on posters in local book shops. Scan them on your phone and watch them come to life! Then head to the Victoria Art Gallery to see if there are any other monsters or mythological beasts lurking outside.

There are also fun family activities that will be taking place during the exhibition. All activities are included in the ticket price.
