Henrietta Park

Parks & Walks

Just off the popular Henrietta Place is a brief respite from the city's busy roads called Henrietta Park. Perhaps it comes as no surprise that it is yet another stunning example of an English country garden right smack dab in the middle of beautiful Bath. Free for all to stroll, stop, sit, or stare, the garden boasts well-shaded pathways lined with Sycamore, Maple and Elm trees, as well as slivers of Georgian architecture peeking through the tree tops, several entrances from surrounding residential streets, public toilets (20p entry) and a sweetly scented and beautifully manicured Remembrance Garden, dedicated to George V, complete with a pond and rose-covered pergola.

Follow Sutton Street from Henrietta Gardens and you'll be in the equally beautiful Sydney Gardens and Holburne Museum within minutes, all frequented by Jane Austen herself (who lived at Number 4 on Sydney Place).
