Most will know Komedia in Bath as a lively entertainment venue, with a versatile programme of live music, comedy, cabaret and film. However, if you’d rather skip the show, the Arts Cafe is recognised for multi-award winning food and a fantastic atmosphere for families. The cafe’s commitment to sourcing local, seasonal ingredients, as well as serving locally roasted coffee from local Round Hill Roastery, gives reason to the Soil Association Gold Standard certification, ensuring meals are freshly prepared and free from unnecessary nasties. With a range of hot and cold drinks available, as well as homemade cakes, the cafe also serves as a refill stop for free tap water as part of Bristols recently launched ‘Refill’ scheme, so bring your bottomless bottles! As well as having a children’s menu to please even the fussiest feeder, there are high chairs, changing facilities and places to pop the pram - so all bases are covered!

Voted Great Taste 'Producer of the Year’, Swoon ice cream parlour is a popular pit stop for gelato lovers. The Swoon bar is hardly a secret either, with its central location in Kingsmead Square drawing in tourists and teens for a sweet treat from 10am until closing. We agree, there is a valid reason for its destination 'check in on Facebook' status - have you seen those homemade flavours, all churned on site?! Whipped up for your pleasure in the Flavour Lab, temptations include Amarena Cherry Cheesecake, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Brownie, to name a few! Oh goodness, and have you seen those gelato cakes?! On to coffee and if it’s a hit of caffeine you need, Swoon serves up their speciality traditional Italian blend, ‘Caffe Borbone Da Napoli’, which is certainly worth waiting out the queue in our book!
